Ephesians 3:14-17
14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith…

What does it mean when Paul says ‘that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith’? Through faith in Christ and what he has done for us we are forgiven and accepted as God’s children. Through faith in him the Spirit is given to dwell in us and work in and through us. Dwelling in us, the Spirit reminds of what Jesus taught and brings him and his words alive for us. He also shapes us, aligning our character, and our values, with Christ’s. What can we do? Whatever we can to be receptive and ready for his work through worship, prayer and as Noel suggested on Sunday, practising the presence of God, forming the habit of looking out for what God is doing, for his presence throughout our daily lives.
