John 3:16 (24.02.22)

John 3:16 (NIVUK)
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Let’s push this concept of everybody counts a little further today. We’ve been thinking how everybody in the church family counts, is equal, is special and what that might mean for how we see, and treat, and listen to each other. What we mustn’t do is convert that into a new form of Jew vs. Gentile, Special vs. Not Special, Church vs. Not-Church. To use this familiar, oft quoted verse, God so loves the world. To him, everybody counts, regardless of whether they have placed their faith in Jesus yet or not. What does this mean for how we see those outside the church? How we treat them and value them? How does this effect the time we give them?

Father, everybody counts to you, everyone is significant. Help us to broaden our horizons to embrace all as you do.
