10:32 They were on their way up to Jerusalem, with Jesus leading the way, and the disciples were astonished…
What is it that Jesus has done that has caused the disciples to be astonished? Mark doesn’t explicitly say, although I have my own thoughts – more on that tomorrow. This statement, however, has got me thinking, when was the last time I was astonished by Jesus? Do I know the story so well that it doesn’t surprise me anymore? Do I treat it simply as a story, rather than a real life account of a real person who did, and does, amazing things?
