Psalm 12:5 NIVUK
5 ‘Because the poor are plundered and the needy groan,
I will now arise,’ says the Lord.
‘I will protect them from those who malign them.’

God is god of the underdog and the downtrodden, speaking up for those who are maligned by the powerful and influential. As his people, perhaps we’re called to follow, to speak up on behalf of the voiceless, overlooked and vulnerable.

Although words can be cheap and talk easy, to speak like you, Father, takes courage and can be costly. Help us!
