Genesis 18:3-5 (NIVUK)
3 He said, ‘If I have found favour in your eyes, my lord, do not pass your servant by. 4 Let a little water be brought, and then you may all wash your feet and rest under this tree. 5 Let me get you something to eat, so you can be refreshed and then go on your way – now that you have come to your servant.’
Yesterday we thought about how God meets us where we are. His presence transforms our daily lives and environments, making them holy, a place for divine encounter. Perhaps this may transform our attitude to our daily lives as well – how can we welcome God into our daily routines, how can we make space for him?
Lord, do not pass us by, but stop with us so that we may enjoy your presence and get to know you better.
