John 1:12-13 (NIVUK)
12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God – 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
Yesterday we thought about how our selfishness has affected our thinking, speaking and listening. Thankfully God is not like us. He is not selfish, but has seen our plight and sent his Son in a decisive intervention, presenting us with the opportunity to be restored into his family.
Father, we would never have been so generous and gracious as you – thank you for your love that has reached out to us despite all that we have done.
