Ephesians 1:3 (NIVUK)
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
The headlines at the moment are on a constant cycle of bad news, both on a global level and national level. War, climate change, earthquakes, or the cost of living crisis. The outlook is not so good. Scripture, however, gives us a different vantage point. It doesn’t deny the struggles that we face, but also highlights the hope we have for the future and the riches we already have in Jesus, the Christ. Life may be tough, but through him we are welcomed into God’s family, have security of status, forgiveness, and restoration.
Thank you Father for the grace and love you have lavished on us through Christ!
