1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIVUK)
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Yesterday we PAUSED, taking a moment at the start of the week to remind ourselves who God is and that he is with us. Continuing Peter Greig’s acrostic, the next letter, R, stands for REJOICE.* As we thought about yesterday, dealing with our daily lives, especially issues that cause us stress and anxiety, can preoccupy us. Once more this morning we are going to stop to refocus our minds to help us see the bigger picture: not only is God with us, but there is always much to be thankful for, even in tough times. This does not deny the pressures we face, or belittle our struggles, instead it puts them in context and helps us to deal with them.
Heavenly Father, thank you for all the good things you have done for me and have given me. Thank you for…
