Hebrews 10:15-18 (NIVUK)
15 The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says:
16 ‘This is the covenant I will make with them
after that time, says the Lord.
I will put my laws in their hearts,
and I will write them on their minds.’
[Jeremiah 31:33]
17 Then he adds:
‘Their sins and lawless acts
I will remember no more.’
[Jeremiah 31:34]
18 And where these have been forgiven, sacrifice for sin is no longer necessary.

God writes his laws in our hearts and on our minds. This could sound ominous, almost as if God is branding us to show ownership, but that is to misunderstand what a covenant is. The covenant is not some law imposed from outside, but an agreement entered into by both parties. Rather than being about one way ownership, it is about mutual relationship, like a marriage. The law is not a one way set of demands, but a two way description of what each party can expect from the other, just like wedding vows. A wedding ring reminds us that someone loves us and that we love them, with all that that entails. This writing reminds our emotions and thinking the same.

Despite my faults, you, Father, Son and Spirit, have given yourself to me in an amazing act of love. Today, I give myself again to you.
