No, we’ve not lost the plot when it comes to basic Maths, but we do believe that sometimes 1 + 1 can = 1, take this Sunday for example. On the 3rd March our congregation went to St. Laurence, Wormley, to join theirs for our first joint service together. We had a wonderful time, despite the different ways we might worship and express ourselves, we felt like one family. 1 + 1 = 1. We enjoyed it so much, in fact, that we’ve welcomed them to do a return trip and come and join us this weekend! And so this coming Sunday, 9th June, we’re holding a joint all-age service at Wormley Community Centre at 9.30am.*
* This is instead of our 10.30am service. We moved it an hour earlier so that Rev. Ash David has time to join us for the service before rushing to St. Augustine’s to take the service there.
