Hebrews 13:5-6 NIVUK
5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,
‘Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you.’
6 So we say with confidence,
‘The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?’

There is nothing wrong with money, let’s face it, it has many uses and we’d be stuck without it! The problem comes when we start making money our answer to everything. What do we need to be happy in life? Money. What do we need to be fulfilled in life? Money. What do we need to be confident? Money. What do we need to be attractive in life? Money. When we start thinking that having and spending money is the answer to everything, then we’ve gone astray. In fact, we’re placing a love of money where God should be. God is always with us and will never let us down. He is God and he is above all things and greater than any difficulty. His consistent love towards us is the one constant in our lives, the one thing we can truly stand firm on.

Thank you for your constant presence and compassion, Father you and your love are the source of my contentment.
