Hebrews 13:20-21
20 Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, 21 equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

This chapter’s theme of faithfulness is found throughout its closing benediction. God can only be and express peace because he is faithful; we have peace because we know he will provide for us, be there for us and save us, because he has always provided for us, been there for us and saved us. This faithful love is seen in the resurrection; he would never abandon his Son to the grave. Finally, he enables us to be faithful by equipping us to do the work he calls us to by his Spirit.

Father, we celebrate your faithfulness, and pray that you faithfulness may be echoed in us, your people.
