This week it has been a joy to have Dollie from The Broxbourne School join us for work experience. Reflecting back over the week, Dollie wrote the following for us…
On my week of work experience with Ben at Wormley Free Church I was able to join and engage in a range of activities. It was great to understand first hand how the Church is able to serve the community in many ways, for example, I particularly enjoyed the toddler group and the drop-in lunch which allowed a range of people to integrate with one another and for me to get to know new people. I was keen to see how the teachings of the Church were displayed in practice and really enjoyed the method of teaching the children in the assemblies hosted by Ben and I in local schools, making Bible stories and beliefs understandable for the younger age ranges (and chocolate! Ben). Another integral part of my week involved the food bank which allowed me to provide a service and help in doing a great thing that the church is able to provide. Overall my week with Ben was incredibly successful learning lots of new things and getting to know some great people, especially Ben.
