Jeremiah 32:17 (NIVUK)
17 ‘Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.’
I could pour my whole life into creating something. I could be the finest artist, a brilliant sculpture or crafts-person, the greatest inventor, an amazing engineer or the most ingenious computer coder, and yet as great as my masterpiece might be, it would not match the wonder of the smallest living thing, or geological feature. We might have skill and ability, but God’s creation simply dwarfs anything we could achieve, he is of a totally different level to anything we could manage or imagine.
Lord, you are more than we could ever imagine! Help us to capture if but a part of who you are, through this, your masterpiece, that surrounds us.
