Galatians 3:26-29 (NIVUK)
26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were baptised into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Faith is the great equaliser and unifier. It doesn’t matter where you come from, your gender, what social advantages or disadvantages you have, your ethnicity, what you have or have not done, through faith in Christ we are lifted up and become one, God’s children. This has certainly been the experience of those who have been fortunate enough to visit Sierra Leone. There we have found brothers and sisters despite our experiences and contexts being so different.
