14 [Solomon] said ‘Lord, the God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven or on earth – you who keep your covenant of love with your servants who continue wholeheartedly in your way.
In the Conversation Cafe, we have been using some ice breaker question cards to get the conversation going. One of the cards asked, what three words would you use to describe yourself. How would you answer? It’s not as easy as you might think. When it comes to describing God, one of the words Solomon highlighted was faithful. The concept of a god being faithful in their dealings with people might be taken for granted to us, but in ancient history, so many gods were portrayed as using humans as pawns in their power-games. Solomon’s description may have been a shocking and wonderful discovery for many!
