Serving Jesus in Our Community

Bible Notes

2 Chronicles 6:26-27 (30.10.24)

2 Chronicles 6:26-27 (NIVUK)
26 ‘When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain because your people have sinned against you, and when they pray towards this place and give praise to your name and turn from their sin because you have afflicted them, 27 then hear from heaven and forgive the sin of your servants, your people Israel. Teach them the right way to live, and send rain on the land that you gave your people for an inheritance.

We’ve recently been watching Clarkson’s Farm – watching Jeremy Clarkson turn his hand from racing motor cars to growing plants and caring for sheep has been most amusing! It also reminded us how vital rain is for agriculture, something I was already aware of from growing up surrounded by farmers.

Thank you Father that in your love you provide for our needs; you send the rain and give us our daily bread.
