Psalm 95:3-5 (NIVUK)
3 For the Lord is the great God,
the great King above all gods.
4 In his hand are the depths of the earth,
and the mountain peaks belong to him.
5 The sea is his, for he made it,
and his hands formed the dry land.
Some of the most breath taking moments can be had at the edges of the world. Standing on a mountain top looking out across the counties or even countries below. Standing at the sea’s edge and its vast curved horizon that stretches around the globe. Clambering down into cave systems, which open up in hidden geological palaces and descend for ever in narrow twisting tunnels. Gazing out through a plane window as you fly through the clouds into alien landscapes above full of light and wonder. Taking time to look at the detail of lichen forests growing on the side of a bridge in minute beauty and intricacy.
God you imagined this glorious world in all its wonder and variety before even a glimpse of it was seen. Your hands brought it into being. What a God you are!
