Psalm 95:6-7 (NIVUK)
6 Come, let us bow down in worship,
let us kneel before the Lord our Maker;
7 for he is our God
and we are the people of his pasture,
the flock under his care.

The Psalm begins by calling us to worship because of the greatness of God as displayed in his creation. Here it calls us again, this time because of what God has done and does for us. God has called us to be his people, and as his people he cares for us as a shepherd cares for their sheep. Of course the nature of this care is demonstrated in Christ, the Good Shepherd, who gave his life for his sheep (John 10:11).

At the moment we have quite a few people in our family going through difficult times. Take a moment to lift those you know of before our Father, praying for his compassion to be made known.
