Matthew 12.42
“The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, and now one greater than Solomon is here.”
The Queen of Sheba went to a lot of effort in order to hear what Solomon said. Jesus’ words are much more worth listening to, even than Solomon’s. Yet people in Jesus’ day didn’t want to hear. Perhaps that was because to heed his words would require a change of heart.
Lord, we pray that people in our community and nation would listen and allow Jesus’ words to change them.
