John 8:12 (NIVUK)
12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’
Light is such a versatile thing! Light enables us to see our way. Light reveals what’s around us and helps us to interact with our environment. Light can be used to warn us. Light banishes darkness and casts away shadows. In contrast darkness conceals, threatens and hinders us. But here’s the thing, as Tim reminded us on Sunday, light always beats darkness.
Reflect on areas of life in general and in your life where there is darkness. Give thanks for Christ’s light and pray that it would banish these.
