Luke 1:1-2 (NIVUK)
Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, 2 just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eye witnesses and servants of the word.
Our faith is part of a chain going back to the events that the Bible describes, to those who saw and heard and touched, and now it is our turn to be witnesses and servants of the word. As servants we are to cherish and look after the word, but not putting it in some display case out of reach, but showing it’s value by sharing it, showing it off to others, inviting them to read it and encounter God for themselves in its stories.
Thank you for the Bible, a precious treasure! Help me to demonstrate its value to others through telling and living its story.
