Lamentations 3:22-23 NIVUK
22 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
As we come to the end of 2018, this is a natural time to stop, look back and take stock of the last year as we did on Sunday morning – and wasn’t it fantastic to hear all those encouraging stories of God at work in people’s lives, in both good times and bad. As Jeremiah reminds us in Lamentations, God is faithful, his compassion for us renewed in its vigour every day, never flagging or relenting. He has been with us over the last year.
As the year closes, ask God to show you how he has been involved in your life, and give thanks.
