1 Peter 2:4-5 NIV
As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him— [5] you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
In the Old Testament the Temple was the place where God ‘dwelt’, a symbol of God’s Presence amongst his people to the surrounding nations. The Temple has gone, now God’s Spirit dwells in us, we are the new Temple where he is worshipped, experienced and made known.
Thank you Father that you have placed your Spirit in us! May we make him welcome and make him known.
