Reading: Psalm 126:4-6
4 Restore our fortunes, Lord,
like streams in the Negev.
5 Those who sow with tears
will reap with songs of joy.
6 Those who go out weeping,
carrying seed to sow,
will return with songs of joy,
carrying sheaves with them.
Thought for Reflection:
We are not promised trouble free lives; there will certainly be tears. Yet the same God who makes rivers flow in the desert will turn our sorrows into joy. From God’s past faithfulness comes our present confidence and also our hopes for the future.
Prayer:
Lord, Let us go forward with confidence in the assurance that your faithful provision will prevail, even in our darkest times. Let us be encouraged to grow in faith and recognize your great love for us.
