3 Israel, put your hope in the Lord
both now and forevermore.
Thought for Reflection:
Hope can be a fragile thing, affected by mood and circumstances. What we’re certain of one day can seem impossible and unrealistic the next – a bit like the fickle English weather. Hope in God, however, is solid and true because of his faithful unchangeable nature. God is love, truth and light and that will never change. If we place our faith in him as individuals and as the church, we shall never be disappointed – except in the feeling that we could have trusted him more!
Prayer:
Lord, teach me that hope in you is never in vain.
