Reading: Ruth 4:16-17 Then Naomi took the child in her arms and cared for him. The women living there said, “Naomi has a son!” And they named him Obed. He was the father of Jesse, the father of David.
Thought for Reflection: I hope you have managed to read the whole story because this verse gives away the punch line!!! Ruth, the foreign widow who committed herself to the God of her mother-in-law becomes the grandmother of King David! God can take the small things we do and bring an amazing result; whether its little seeds or small sandwiches bring them to him today and see what he does!
Prayer: Lord Jesus, you are able to bring great things out of very small commitments, like Ruth help me to have the vision to see it.
