Bible Reading: Joshua 15:18-19
One day when she [Caleb’s daughter] came to Othniel, she urged him to ask her father for a field. When she got off her donkey, Caleb asked her, “What can I do for you?” She replied, “Do me a special favour. Since you have given me land in the Negev, give me also springs of water.” So Caleb gave her the upper and lower springs.
Thought for Reflection
In a dry land springs of water were precious. They bring life, hope, cleansing and a future. In our spiritual lives we need those springs of living water to revive and delight us; it is not enough to look back and see what God has done in the past (even though it was and is very good), we need the reviving power of the Holy Spirit today!
Prayer
Holy God, pour into me springs of living water so that I may overflow with your life giving love, power and grace.
