Serving Jesus in Our Community

Bible Notes

Monday 25th November 2013

The Book of Ephesians is a tremendous book about the church and our identity. As so often with Paul it is densely packed with theology. This week we’re going to look at part of the introduction to the book, Eph. 13-10 and take our time to take in some of its treasures.

Reading: Ephesians 1:3
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

Thought for Reflection: In both of our services yesterday we spent time reflecting on the good things that God gives us, Paul continues this today. How does our world measure wealth? Usually by the level of our bank balance. True wealth is much more than that; as Jesus reminds us in his parable of the rich farmer, our material wealth is only a temporary thing. The wealth that really counts is our relationship with God through Jesus and all that this brings us!

Prayer: That you for the riches you pour on us through Jesus!
