Bible Notes

Thursday 19th December 2013

Reading: Micah 5:2
2 ‘But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
though you are small among the clans of Judah,
out of you will come for me
one who will be ruler over Israel,
whose origins are from of old,
    from ancient times.’

Thought for Reflection: How wonderful that God chose Bethlehem to enter the world – a small insignificant place but the town where the most momentous event in history took place! God does not always choose the places or people we expect – which gives us hope that he can even use people like us!

Prayer: Lord, I praise you that you take small and unimportant things and use them to enrich and bless in amazing ways! Help me to see your work today and to trust you.
