Bible Notes

Joshua 1:9 (23.11.16)

Joshua 1:9 NIV
[9] Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Joshua finds himself in charge after the death of Moses and facing an enormous job! Here is a reminder, a command and a promise that still applies to us as well as Joshua:
* I have commanded you – we are servants and children of God
* Be strong and courageous – take a risk today!
* The Lord your God will be with you wherever you go

Standing on this mountaintop
Looking just how far we’ve come
Knowing that for every step
You were with us
Kneeling on this battle ground
Seeing just how much You’ve done
Knowing every victory
Was Your power in us
Scars and struggles on the way
But with joy our hearts can say
Yes, our hearts can say
Never once did we ever walk alone
Never once did You leave us on our own
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
