It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
There is only one rule in our faith, we should not be bound by or bind others by anything else, and that rule is love. Love God and love your neighbour as yourself. We like other rules because they give us power over others and a position of status, but love does the reverse, it divests us of power and lifts others up. Paradoxically though, in surrendering ourselves in this way, we truly find ourselves and our meaning.
