But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
What do you want to be known for? What quality or characteristic? These are the things Good looks for in us and the Spirit seeks to ensure upon us. Pick one and prayerfully work on it today.
(Don’t get confused, the word ‘flesh’ here does not refer to our physical being, the body isn’t evil, but to our fallen desires, the wonky part of us that causes us to damage our relationships).
Father, with the help of the Spirit, make me more like Jesus.
