Bible Notes

Titus 2:11-14 (27.10.17)

Titus 2:11-14 NIV
[11] For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. [12] It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, [13] while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ, [14] who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

By God’s grace we are made whole. By grace we come to Him and by grace He enables us to live holy lives in an ungodly world filled with pitfalls and temptations. Christians have a great hope in the face of despair, alienation and denial of God. We know we will see our risen Lord come again in power and glory.

Lord, give us the grace to live godly lives. Grant that we will be sought out and known as holy ones, the redeemed of the Lord.
