James 4:7-8 NIV
[7] Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. [8] Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Submit, resist, come near and wash – there are a lot of activities as we live the life of faith!
submit to God – accept his will and see what he is working out in and through you today.
Resist the Devil – don’t allow the standards of the world around to draw you away from doing what you know is right. Jesus will give you victory!
Come near to God – read his word, spend a regular time with God and see the difference it makes!
Wash your hands – be clean and upright in all your dealings
Purify your hearts – check on what is really important and follow the good things!
Lord, reign in me today.
