Ephesians 1:15-16 NIV
For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.
It was after Paul heard about the Ephesians’ faith that he began praying for them – and he says he never stopped. Faith is not something private. With baptism, it is a public declaration of belief in Jesus Christ and from the point of that public declaration onwards, we the people of God are encouraged by this example of Paul to uphold each other continually in prayer, to give thanks for each person who commits their life to Christ and to remember each other actively in prayer every day.
Lord I thank you your grace that saves and I bring to you by name every one of my brothers and sisters in Christ who are part of Wormley Free Church today. You know their needs and now, I pray for them.
