Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household
We had some lodgers staying with us recently who had recently come to the UK from South Africa. Long story! When they first arrived they were strangers to us but after a fortnight they were friends, part of family life, and it’s odd now they have moved into their own place. So it was with us. Once we were the foreigners, but through Christ we were welcomed into his household, his family. We’re brought us as Christians saying our Father, but when you stop and think about what we’re saying, it’s astonishing isn’t it!
Part of the family God? Us? Come in and make yourself at home you say? That’s almost unbelievable. Thank you!
