Serving Jesus in Our Community

Bible Notes

Acts 18:9-11 (29.06.18)

Acts 18:9-11
9 One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. 10 For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.” 11 So Paul stayed in Corinth for a year and a half, teaching them the word of God.

Here is the clearest encouragement possible to carry on preaching the gospel without fear. We have the richest promise that God will move to protect His work and we are called to preach the good news of the Gospel in His name even in times of danger. Without courage we will never carry the gospel into or community – a word for Paul and a word for us in our times.

Lord give us strength and courage we pray to live and proclaim the good news of the gospel to our community and to reach out to it whatever the difficulties or opposition we might encounter.
