Mt. 6:10
Your kingdom come,
your will be done.
on earth as it is in heaven.
This is a prayer of obedience – Lord, help me to follow your will, to be quickly obedient to you as my King.
This is a prayer of intercession – Lord, we pray for our communities that they might know the goodness of a life lived as you would have us lived, a life of mutual submission, a life of justice and compassion.
This is a prayer of faithful hope – Lord, you promised that one day you’d come back and complete that job of putting all things right, of bringing into being that second Eden. We believe and long for it.
