Mt. 6:11
11 Give us today our daily bread.
If prayer is a outpouring from our Father-child relationship with God, then it is right that we turn to him with our needs? I know that my children always ask us when there’s something they need without thinking, a child expects their parent to help them, and a parent would expect them too. As Jesus puts it in Luke 11:11-12 11 “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
What do you need today? Ask God as a reflection of your love of him as your Father.
