Luke 2:39 NIVUK
39 When Joseph and Mary had done everything required by the Law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee to their own town of Nazareth. 40 And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was on him.
I find the end of this verse fascinating. Jesus didn’t arrive as a fully mature adult, but as a child with a child’s limitations. As a child he grew and developed, maturing, learning and developing. Through this we are encouraged to value and pray for the young people in our church family and community, for who they are now and who they may become, because God uses and reaches out to such as them.
Thank you Father for our young people, help us to care for those you bring into our midst.
