Luke 24:33-35 NIV
They got up and returned at once to Jerusalem. There they found the Eleven and those with them, assembled together [34] and saying, “It is true! The Lord has risen and has appeared to Simon.” [35] Then the two told what had happened on the way, and how Jesus was recognized by them when he broke the bread.
It’s true! We’ve seen him!!
Like the early church, the only proof we have to offer people is our experiences, but the glorious truth of our faith is that Jesus comes to us still today through his Spirit, meaning we don’t have to rely just on the encounters of those two thousand years ago, but we too can meet with him today.
Father, may we have a living faith based on a relationship with you that is current and alive.
