Hebrews 10:24-25 NIV
[24] And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, [25] not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
A few years ago I did the London-Brighton cycle ride, a fantastic day, even the tortuous Ditchling Beacon at the end! It had been a while since I’d cycled that sort of distance in one go and so some training was required, but the idea of going out on cold or wet days wasn’t attractive. To be honest, if it wasn’t for the fact that others were doing it with me and we were training together, I would probably have not bothered, but knowing we were relying on each other was highly motivational.
Lord, you are training us, preparing us, for life in your coming Kingdom. Help us to encourage each other on the way.
