Acts 20:31, 37-38

During this crisis, in our more pessimistic moments we may wonder if we will ever again see some of those we love – family members who are elderly or in poor health, or fellow believers whom we are no longer able to see each Sunday. The elders of Ephesus knew that they would never ever see him again because it was clear that the authorities would arrest him on account of his bold witnessing to the power of the Lord Jesus. But even in that worst-case scenario, Paul encouraged them to put their trust in God and his grace, and we must do the same, even in these difficult days.
