Isaiah 52:7
How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!’
Luke 4
17 …the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to [Jesus]. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written:
18 ‘The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free,
19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.’
Feet aren’t generally seen as beautiful; I know mine aren’t. They are generally hidden away, used to do their job, but rarely make the focal point of a portrait or magazine cover! And yet God says our feet can be beautiful, beautiful because they help us take the good news of Jesus to others, and there’s no better thing.
