UPDATE 25.06.21
We’re resuming physical morning services at the Community Centre from this Sunday morning! For the time being we shall be focussing on these and shall not be having evening services. Please see this post for details.
UPDATE 24.05.21
Toddlers: After having to close during lockdown, we’re excited to restart Toddlers! Booking is essential. For details visit our Toddlers Page.
Physical Services: We are currently opening our building for fortnightly evening services – other services remain online. Please contact us if you’d like further details or to book a space.
Hall Hire: We are starting to take bookings for events after June 22nd, subject to a lifting of social distancing measures. To find out more and to make an enquiry visit our Hall Hire Page.
UPDATE 24.03.21
With the continued easing of lockdown, we are planning to open our Toddler Group again after the half term break. To comply with social distancing measures and to ensure that everyone is safe, we will be operating with reduced numbers and so booking will be essential – look out for details in due course. We will also initially be running for a reduced period to facilitate cleaning before and after, and will not be offering refreshments. It is our hope and prayer that after the summer holiday break that we will be able to able to offer a fuller programme of activities.
UPDATE 09.03.21
Like so many we are looking forward with hope and thanksgiving with the roll out of the vaccines and the Government’s road map out of lockdown. Finally an end is in sight for the pandemic and the need for our services to be online and most of our activities suspended.
Although we are permitted to hold worship services, we recognise the requirement to maintain social distancing and so due to the limited capacity of our building in Slipe Lane and the Community Centre remaining closed, we have decided to continue to meet online for the time being until we can gather safely as a whole fellowship.
Other than hosting the foodbank, unfortunately for the time we are unable to hold our other activities physically, including the Drop-In and Toddler Group. Naturally we have missed these and look forward to being allowed to restart in due course, when we it is permitted and safe to do so.
UPDATE: 19.12.20
In light of today’s announcements, our church building will continue to remain closed other than for the Foodbank. Although our building is closed, we are not! As a community we continue to remain active, with many of our regular activities occurring online.
Sadly this means that our Christmas Eve Communion will now be ‘live-by-Zoom’ rather than in person, and the Drive-In Carols will now be online.
UPDATE: 10.11.20
In line with Government advice and jurisdiction, the church building will be closed and activities that take place there suspended, other than the Foodbank, for the duration of the second lockdown.
Services continue to be offered online and we will be exploring options for meeting physically again when we are allowed and can do so safely.
UPDATE: 18.03.20
Last night as a leadership we took the reluctant decision to not just close the activities previously announced (see below), but to suspend all our activities, including our Sunday Services (the one exception is the Foodbank, which will continue at this time of higher need as long as it is able to do so safely).
This does not mean, however, that church has closed! We remain a community, Gd’s family, even if we aren’t able to gather. We just have to think creatively about how we can express our faith and communicate with and encourage each other. We shall also continue to do what we can to support our local communities too. As well as our daily Bible Notes we will be sharing regular ‘Wormley Worship’ videos and other activities we can do together-but-apart’. Details can be found on our Virtual Church page as they become available.
UPDATE: 17.03.20
In light of the government advise, and in order to protect our guests and members, we have reluctantly decided to close both our Drop In Lunch and Toddler Group until the current situation eases. We hope you understand.
We are aware that these are uncertain days. If you find that you need assistance, do please get in touch and we will see what we can do to help.
Updates will be posted here on our website.
We invite you to join us in praying for our communities, our health service and government.
Psalm 23:1-6 NIV
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
[2] He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
[3] he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.
[4] Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
[5] You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
[6] Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
