Psalm 91:1-16 (26.07.21)

Psalm 91:1-16 NIV
[1] Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. [2] I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” [3] Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.

Two years ago we might have read this verse differently! The most deadly pestilence is not the one that makes us isolate because of a bleep on our phone but the one that destroys our relationship with God and our eternal hope! If we make God our refuge and fortress, we are safe! This is a promise for today and every day!!!

Lord, you are my refuge – a place of safety and hope in a scary and despairing world.
