Bible Notes

Isaiah 60:1-2 (26.10.21)

Isaiah 60:1-2 NIV
[1] “Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. [2] See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.

The Wednesday Bible Study group have been enjoying Isaiah lately (Recommended – give it a try!) Do you ever feel as you listen to the news, that “darkness covers the earth”? See the difference it makes to know the Lord – his glory appears over you! We have a hope that shines in the darkness – the difference that Jesus makes to every situation is like light shining into a dark place

Light of the world
You stepped down into darkness
Opened my eyes, let me see
Beauty that made this heart adore You
Hope of a life spent with You
Here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that You’re my God
