Galatians 3:26-29 (NIVUK)
26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were baptised into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
God’s great levelling up project!
In Christ, everybody counts. It doesn’t matter what our background, our ethnicity, our career, our gender, our age, if we have faith in Christ, then we’re lifted up not just to being equal, but to being God’s children and sisters and brothers of Jesus. In God’s family, everyone is special, everyone is important everyone is an heir of God.
Thank you Father for seeing me, for seeing us, this way. Help me to grasp what the implications are for me and for the family of the church. What would it look like if we were able to grasp this wonderful truth and live according to it?
