The Repair Shop seems to be a programme that has grabbed people’s imagination. In it, craftspeople take family heirlooms or items with a story behind them that have become tired or broken and restore them, bringing them back to life. Jesus’ Cross tells the same story but in a dramatically more powerful way. In the resurrection God raised Christ from death to life. Through this we’re promised that he will deal with the chaos and sin that spoil our lives and restore us. This transition gives us hope, a taste of what he can and will do.
Are there areas in your life that need restoring or making new? Ask God to act in his resurrection power.
Are there situations around you or in the world that need lifting from death to life? Bring them to God in prayer.
